A Growing Movement of Financial Wisdom in Asia

The Ron Blue Institute’s work and ministry are making a global impact! Over the past year, RBI has partnered with Living Stewards, a not-for-profit headquartered in the U.S., to resource a group of almost 50 Asian financial professionals who desire to grow in their knowledge and practical application of financial wisdom. Known as the Asia Financial Discipleship Initiative, there is excitement and hope that these individuals will have a positive and lasting influence in their workplaces and local communities.

In the winter of 2024, team members from RBI first met with financial professionals to begin dreaming about how the principles of financial wisdom could be brought to committed financial professionals throughout Asia. With a growing middle class throughout the region, there is a great need and open door to equip business and community leaders who could begin to influence others toward financial literacy and sound principles of personal finance, including wisdom, contentment, and generosity. Members of this first cohort gained insight and knowledge while going through a prescribed financial course, as well as engaging with a few financial advisors from the U.S.

Looking to the future, there is much excitement as RBI and Living Stewards make plans for a variety of ways to grow their partnership. First, another group of Asian professionals will participate in a new cohort beginning in early 2026. An exciting new addition to this program is that, with the help of AI, all the videos have been translated into Mandarin, providing for a better experience for participants in each cohort going forward. Second, there is interest in joining together to plan and participate in financial wisdom conferences, both in the U.S. and in Asia. These conferences will assist participants in understanding and practicing financial wisdom in all areas of life, with the goal of increasing the number of financial wisdom professionals committed to investing in their businesses and local communities.
